What Should You Mix Your Protein Shake With?

Protein shakes are red hot in the world of fitness and burning muscle. Given this, the various ways that you mix these protein shakes has taken center stage. Many variations of protein shake mixtures can be created, but you have to be careful not to defeat the purpose of the shake. Adding a YooHoo for example is likely to offset any benefits that a protein shake might bring.

Protein ShakesThe best thing to mix in your protein shake depends a whole lot on what your aim is. If you are strictly training and are not targeting muscle mass, then water is about as good as anything. With water, however, you are not going to get as much bulk with a protein shake. This has been debated for a long time, but the truth is that water is healthy. There can be no argument there, and it mixes fairly well with most protein shakes on the market.

Build MusclesMany people out there swear by skim milk or milk products with their protein shake. This is a great option if you are trying to build muscle mass. While milk will add some fat to the mixture, the protein will offset much of that if you are exercising and burning calories properly. Milk is a pretty good option most of the time but skim milk is the better choice.

Many people are interested in building endurance while the build muscle with protein shakes. This can be accomplished by dicing up some banana in your protein shake.

Build Muscle

This adds carbs and will rev up your workout very effectively. Enjoy your banana protein shake, as they taste best of all the protein shakes out there in my opinion
